Youth notes: Twisters have 3 all-around regional champs

Twisters Gymnastics participated in the 2016 Region 4 Gymnastics Xcel Championships hosted by Great Northern Gymnastics in St. Paul, Minn.
Addi Crilly was the regional all-around champion at the bronze level, winning first on bars and floor and second on vault and beam.
Also in bronze, Ally Olmstead placed first on vault, Clara Thurm placed first on vault, and Samantha Hein was first on bars. Brycelynn Hutchinson was third place on bars.
Meghan Burtis was third in vault in Silver.
Amelia Berger was the regional all-around champion in Gold, placing second on the beam and third on the bars. Ellie Martens was second on the beam in Gold.
In Diamond, Skylar Meyer was regional all-around champion plus first on bars and third on vault. Also in Diamond, Sarah Nolting was second all-around, second on beam and second on bars.
Swisher's Johnston wins Jr. Classic
Johnston wins TPC Deere Run tournament
Ian Johnston, 14, of Swisher won the Hurricane Junior Tour TPC Deere Run Classic on April 17.
Ian shot even par, 71, the final day to win by six strokes in the 14-15 age division. His 2-day score was 147 (76-71). He had four birdies in the final round. The win qualifies him for the HJGT National Championships on Dec. 3 and 4 in Champions Gate, Fla.
Moser competes in Marshalltown
Moser School of Dance and Gymnastics recently competed and placed well in the USTA Power Tumbling meet April 3 in Marshalltown. Seventeen teams were entered with around 450 athletes competing. Moser placewinners as follows:

Somersaults win awards in St. Paul
Somersaults Gymnastics Center took its gymnasts to the Region 4 XCEL Gymnastics competition on April 15-17 in St. Paul, Minn. The meet featured over 1,700 gymnasts from seven states.
In XCel Bronze, Carly Cronbaugh was third in the vault among 6-year-olds. Emeri Hill also competed. Among 7-year-olds, Elly Pfab placed fourth in the vault.
In XCel Silver, Kianna Davis placed sixth in all-around, seventh in balance beam, 11th in vault and 12th on the floor in the 12-year-old division. Faith Ehle was fifth in vault.
In the 9-year-old division, Ava Blue was seventh in all around and sixth in vault, and Sophia Bunch was fourth in the uneven bars.
In the 7-and-under division, Raivyn Rogers was second in all around, second in floor, and third in vault, bars and beam. Paisley Joens was second in the bars and third in floor, and Mia Frame participated.
In 11-year-olds, Isabel Hawker was 15th in beam and 17th in bars, and Annie Haars was sixth in vault.
In 10-year-olds, Natalie Osterberg was ninth in all around, fourth in bars and fifth in floor. Ava Christensen was 11th in all around, fifth in vault and 10th in beam.
In 13-year-olds, Isabelle Howsare was fifth in all around, second in bars, seventh in beam, ninth in vault and 18th in floor. In 14-and-up, Kate Rogers was seventh in all-around, fourth in beam, sixth in floor, and seventh in bars.
In XCel Gold, Maya Shelangoski was sixth in uneven bars among 11-year-olds, and Brianna Yanga was first on floor, ninth in vault, and 11th in uneven bars among 13-year-olds.
