You couldn't make this Big 12 stuff up, and why would you?

Let's see if I have this right.
Missouri seems to be on the verge of leaping to the Big Ten. One problem: The Big Ten never invited it.
Colorado jumps to the Pac-10. Because it's in the heart of the Rockies and has absolutely mediocre revenue sports teams, and has the Denver TV market, which really isn't all that into the Buffaloes.
Nebraska goes to the Big Ten because it's in a conference that is disintegrating since Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech are about to flee to the Pac-10.
But Texas A&M wants to go to the SEC, instead.
And then everyone who is left in the Big 12 decides to stay in the Big 12, which now has 10 schools. Unlike the Big Ten, which now has 12.
Oh yeah, the Big 12 will suddenly have a television contract worth oodles more than what the conference currently gets from TV. Because it has two fewer teams than it did before.
Good night, everybody!
