Wrapping up the combine -- The Sports Desk

The Iowa Hawkeyes put nine players through the NFL combine the last week or so in Indianapolis.
Here' the Sports Desk to kind of wrap that up. (Follow the link, not embedding because they want to centralize the pageviews.)
Adrian Clayborn is going to be picked in the first round (just as he would've been last year). Christian Ballard has a shot to sneak into the late first round with a great 40-yard dash time at Indy.
Quarterback Ricky Stanzi will become the first Hawkeye QB to hear his name at the draft since Matt Rodgers went in the 12th round to the Buffalo Bills in 1992. (Could you imagine a 12-round draft now? Who wouldn't get drafted?)
Safety Tyler Sash made the decision to leave a year on the table at Iowa because he peer group was gone. So, he's in the draft and is probably looking at a mid-round selection after a 4.63 40 in Indy.
I think DT Karl Klug is intriguing, just not at DT. He said no team has mentioned the position he started at for two seasons at Iowa as a possible shot for him in the NFL. He said he ran a 4.67 40 at Iowa last spring. He was 275 at the combine, the heaviest he's ever been. Klug didn't run the combine, but if he can dip into the 4.6 range at Iowa's pro day on March 21, I think he could get drafted to do something football for someone.
Punter Ryan Donahue might be a late-round pick. Offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde showed some burst at the combine. That combined with his knowledge of a zone running scheme, an NFL prerequisite anymore, should get him a look. Tight end Allen Reisner didn't put up great combine numbers, but if he gets drafted, it's going to be for the production he had last season.
Linebacker
Jeremiha Hunter had a nice combine, running the 40 in 4.76, but his shot to the NFL will likely come through free agency.
