Would a Hawkeyes men's basketball win over Ohio State Wednesday be the biggest upset in U. of Iowa history? In the state of Iowa's history?

History covers a long time.
But consider this: What has happened in University of Iowa sports history that would be as big an upset as this season's Hawkeye men's basketball team beating the unbeaten, No. 1-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus Wednesday night?
Yes, OSU (18-0) only beat Iowa by 73-68 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Jan. 4. Yes, the Buckeyes' three games since then were wins of 3, 4, and 3 points. So while Ohio State is unbeaten, it clearly is far from invincible. It beat 10-7 Penn State at home last Saturday by only 69-66.
But the Hawkeyes are 0-5 in the Big Ten (7-10 overall) and have lost their last three games by 23, 19 and 10 points, respectively.
If Iowa loses, it will be the first men's basketball team in Hawkeye history to start its season with six straight losses. The 1916-1917 Hawkeyes were the last Iowa team to lose its first five league games. That's 93 years, people. A long, long, long time.
There have to be bigger upsets in Iowa and state of Iowa lore than beating the No. 1 team in America on the road with a last-place club. Or does there?
If you can't think of something bigger, at least suggest your candidates for the biggest sports upset in state history. Northern Iowa over Kansas in men's basketball was pretty big last year, but it certainly wasn't unthinkable. UNI won the Missouri Valley Conference. It wasn't a team that got to the Big Dance by winning a league tourney after, say, going 11-16 in the regular season.
In the 1970s, a Bob Commings-coached Iowa team won at Penn State. That was a shock.
Give me some more. There must be some obvious ones that I'm blanking on as I type this.
