Wednesday video -- 'The Hermanator'

Nov. 3, 2010 3:21 pm
Iowa TE Brad Herman formally introduced himself to the Big Ten last week against Michigan State, catching three passes for 80 yards, including a jump ball that he took 56 yards to set up a score. Herman jumped in as a true freshman and that is starting to show up now. Oh, and, yes, he would (wouldn't?) like you to call him "The Hermanator."
Iowa LB Jeff Tarpinian was at practice on Tuesday, but he wouldn't reveal who the starters were at linebacker. He didn't know what the coaches would've wanted him to say, so he kept quiet. True freshman James Morris is the one at MLB, however, but we didn't get that out of him.
Iowa DE Adrian Clayborn goes over the differences between true freshman middle linebacker James Morris and fifth-year senior Pat Angerer in the huddle. I don't think I got it on camera, but Clayborn did say Morris brings a "nerdy freshman energy to the huddle." Without Angerer, less swearing and fewer jokes about sisters.
