Video: Madonna

INDIANAPOLIS -- She's performing at halftime of Sunday's Super Bowl.
She drew quite the crowd here Thursday.
Madonna had a brief press conference. Mike Tanier of the New York Times wrote this week that press conference minutes are longer than StairMaster minutes. Truer words were never written.
I've been a to a million sports press conferences, and 98.4 percent of them were tedious at best.
This one wasn't tedious. Inane, yes.
The questions were so dim and the preambles to the questions from the "reporters" were gooey, so Madonna didn't have a lot with which to work. Someone told her she was a genius before lobbing a softball to her. I would have grimaced, but I'm a sportswriter. I've heard much-worse fawning than that after a major-college team won a game against Southeastern Indianapolis Tech.
I wanted to ask her for her views on the human condition, but there were only so many microphones to go around.
She vowed she's pushing the envelope to put on a "spectacular" show that will be a "feast for the eyes and the ears."
So that will be nice.
