SILVIS, Ill. -- Zach Johnson shot a second-round 2-under-par 69 Friday for a two-day total of 6-under-par 136 at the John Deere Classic.
That left him 10 strokes behind Steve Stricker, who finished play 10 minutes after Johnson. Paul Goydos, who shot a 59 on Thursday, began his second-round Friday afternoon.
"I thought I gave myself quite a few opportunities today," Johnson said. "Driver was what really cost me.
"But you know, you can't lose it on the second day. Well, maybe you can if Steve's 17-under (Stricker was minus-17 until his bogey on his final hole)."
The photo slideshow at the bottom of this post is by Brian Ray of SourceMedia. The video is of Johnson's tee shot at the par-3 No. 16, where he left himself a 3-foot putt that he made for birdie.
