Update: Zach not having a good Friday so far
Mike Hlas Apr. 10, 2009 11:30 am
AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Storms don't seem on the horizon, but wind picked up in late morning.
Its effect on the play of Zach Johnson doesn't appear to be great, but he's struggling all the same. He bogeyed Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 8 to go from 2-under to 2-0ver at the Masters. He's playing No. 9 as this is typed.
The 36-hole cut is determined by the top 44 players and ties, and all who are within 10 shots of the lead. Chad Campbell has a rather stunning 11-under total through 10 holes today, and the 1-overs are on the cut line.
That means Johnson is a shot behind that, and has work to do on the back nine holes.
I'll have a quick summary of his round soon after its done, and full reports later in the day.
