Tuesday video -- Ferentz
Marc Morehouse
Oct. 26, 2010 3:31 pm
Here's Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz's opening statement. Also asked if Iowa and Michigan State have anything similar in their runs from 2009 and 2010, respectively. Iowa started 9-0 last season. MSU is 8-0 coming into Kinnick on Saturday. He also touches on special teams here.
Michigan State offense, Iowa's defense in light of two weeks of big numbers on it, linebacker health and the Norm Parker question are on this one.
Ferentz touches on Iowa's record in close games, which pretty much evens out. Or not. Depends on what years and where you pick it up. Asked about mistakes that are fixable and again touches on special teams.
Here's what you came for.
Lots of folks are caught up in DE Adrian Clayborn's statements from Saturday, saying the team needed to practice better and the right things weren't getting done. Ferentz talks about that here.
Also, the last series. Yes, Ferentz wishes they would've spiked it. Of course
Here Ferentz is asked if CB Micah Hyde needs to play better and declines to go into an extensive grading period of the team. Basically, they all, coaches included, need to be better, he said.
Here, it's big wins and big picture talk with team. He basically doesn't do any. Players said, too, that yeah maybe it is a championship elimination game against No. 5 Michigan State on Saturday, but they're not necessarily looking at it that way. Also, DJK and TE Allen Reisner.
