Mike Hlas Feb. 22, 2011 10:04 am
The Bob Sanders Recruiting Tour moved from Jacksonville to Buffalo on Tuesday. The former Iowa star and 7-year Indianapolis Colts veteran was released by the Colts last wseek.
From this Buffalo News story by Allen Wilson:
The Bills' interest in Sanders is intriguing. Two of their safeties, Donte Whitner and backup George Wilson, are set to become unrestricted free agents. Whitner is seeking a big-money deal, but his salary demands are higher than what the Bills want to pay.
ESPN.com's Tim Graham noted these things in his item about Sanders Monday night:
1. Buffalo is just 90 minutes west of Sanders hometown of Erie, Pa.
2. Buffalo's outside linebackers coach is named Bob Sanders.
