They have fun in Hilton Coliseum

AMES -- There is still fun and enthusiasm at major-college basketball venues in Iowa.
Northern Iowa has it. That's largely because the Panthers never seem to lose anymore.
Iowa State has it, too. Especially when the opponent has a marquee name, like the one No. 1 Texas brought to Hilton Coliseum on Wednesday night. The Longhorns won, 90-83. But it wasn't because the 12,000 ISU fans -- especially the students on Cyclone Alley -- didn't bring the noise.
The first one is kind of long - you may want to use the fast-forward. It's pre-game intros for the Cyclones, and they show a video that goes on too long ... but it still gives you a sense of the excitement in the arena.
The second one has the students reacting to Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," which has become a fan-favorite at football and basketball games on a lot of campuses the last few years, for some reason. These kids are having fun. And the ballgame was pretty fun, too.
