As far as receptions go, it wasn't spectacular. It was kind of quiet and eventually led to a field goal.
But Derrell Johnson-Koulianos' 6-yard reception on Iowa's first drive against Indiana last week put him atop Iowa's career receptions list with 158. He finished the game with six catches for 72 yards, pushing his career record totals to 163 receptions for 2,440 yards.
Johnson-Koulianos went into the Indiana game tied with Kevin Kasper for career receptions at 157. He broke Tim Dwight's career yardage mark (2,271) against Michigan.
Now, there's a race between DJK and Marvin McNutt to see if Iowa can produce its first 1,000-yard receiver since Kasper's 1,010 in 2000.
