This may already be old news to many of you in the digital age, but those who haven't heard about it may find it interesting.
From Iowahighereducation.com:
IOWA CITY - Officials with University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics announced today that they have completed their review of inappropriate access of electronic medical records of 13 University of Iowa football players and have taken disciplinary actions against five employees.
UI Spokesman Tom Moore declined to name the employees, saying it was a personnel issue. UI Hospitals and Clinics will fire three of the employees for violating patient privacy policies, and two others will receive five-day unpaid suspensions.
The affected football players have received information related to the improper access of their medical records, officials said.
