SportsDesk WEBCAST: John Campbell and I on Rich Rodriguez's firing and the Big Ten's black eye in bowls
Mike Hlas Jan. 4, 2011 2:12 pm
What was your favorite moment of the Rich Rodriguez Michigan era?
Was it the poundings the Wolverines took from hated rival Ohio State? The Gator bowl flop against Mississippi State?
Was it the 6-18 Big Ten record? The home losses to Utah and Toledo? The three straight losses to Michigan State for the first time in Michigan's history since 1965-67>
Or, for those of an Iowa bent, the 0-2 record against the Hawkeyes?
It wasn't a good three years, folks. Even the most-storied programs of college football can go bad and stay bad for a while. Alabama was 13-13 over the 2006-2007 seasons. Penn State was 7-16 over the 2003-2004 seasons. Texas went 5-7 this year.
