Sports Illustrated's Midseason All-America Teams: Five Badgers, no Hawkeyes

Did that catch your eye, Iowa fans?
Sports Illustrated has named its first-team and second-team midseason All-Americas. That's 52 players, 22 each on offense and defense, eight on special teams.
SI named these Badgers offensive guard John Moffitt to its first team. Second-teamers are offensive tackle Gabe Carimi, running back John Clay, tight end Lance Kendricks and defensive tackle J.J. Watt.
Iowa has no one cited, not even defensive end Adrian Clayborn.
Ohio State has no one included, either. Michigan State has three: first-team linebacker Greg Jones, second-team kicker Dan Conroy and second-team punter Aaron Bates.
The only other Big Ten player listed is second-team defensive end Ryan Kerrigan of Purdue.
Oregon is tied with Wisconsin for the most honorees with five. Boise State and TCU have two each.
The SEC leads all conferences with 10 players. The Big Ten has nine, the Big 12 eight, the Pac-10 seven, the ACC six. The Mountain West has five, the Big East zero.
