Since 2008, six of Iowa football's opposing coaches have been fired or resigned under pressure

Instability, thy name is "college football coaching."
With Rich Rodriguez's firing at Michigan, that makes six head coaches who competed against Iowa since the start of the 2008 season who have been shown the exits.
Roll call:
Dave Wannstedt, Pittsburgh
Bill Lynch, Indiana
Tim Brewster, Minnesota
Steve Roberts, Arkansas State
Stan Parrish, Ball State
Rich Rodriguez, Michigan
Wannstedt was the only one who beat the Hawkeyes, by one point at Heinz Field in 2008. Roberts (24-21 in 2009) , Rodriguez (30-28 in 2009) and Lynch (18-13 in 2010) all came within one score. Had Damarlo Belcher not dropped that pass in the end zone against the Hawkeyes in 2010, the Hoosiers would have gone 6-6 in the regular-season and proceeded to the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. That's how thin a line it probably was from the guy keeping his job.
Brewster's teams didn't score a point against Iowa in 2008 or 2009.
