On Clayborn punt block
I don't know if I've ever seen a play like Adrian made. That was just a thing of beauty.
He never hesitated from what I can tell.
It was just a punt safe. We do rush one or two guys on that just to make sure they don't run a fake. Great individual effort, that's what that was.
On first Penn State offensive play
We knew they'd be jacked up. We weren't counting on one that easy. Big plays get you beat eventually. We blew a coverage there. Bad communication.
After that I thought we played just tremendous defense.

On blocked punt
It was a great effort by Adrian Clayborn our guys played hard the whole game, we've played hard the last couple of weeks. We didn't start out with a bang but just a great effort by all of our guys. I'm just so happy.
We started playing better up front last week and for us to play well we need those guys to generate some energy and they did a nice job. I thought our offensive line competed also.
On 79-yard TD
Crap. Real simply, crap. Bt it's a long game and credit goes to our players. They played hard the whole game. These guys are really resilient.
On beating Penn State and Paterno
There's no secret. If you're going to beat these guys you've got to play at your absolute best. It wasn't always pretty but our guys played hard and Penn State did, too.
Iowa LB Pat Angerer with Gary Dolphin
On first play TD
We just calmed down. We settled down, buckled down and did what we need to do.
We knew they were going to come out firing and unfortunately they had that big play on the first drive and we were a little bit nervous.
Angerer on defensive line:
Our whole d-line played a great game and Adrian was a big part of it.
They're doing a great job. The way they go, the way our defense goes.

On blocked punt:
I didn't know I had it in me.
We just had our safe on. Coach Wilson told me all week that that guy gives ground so I took advantage of it and I got the block.
He stuck his arm out there and I pulled him for a little bit and worked the inside to get the block. It was crazy.
On defensive line
I think we've still got a lot more improvement to go.
Karl Klug is an animal. Next game we're going to bring him in a cage.
