Ogden column: Keep that content coming

It's that time of year again when high school and college football cranks up and demands not only our attention, but our space.
So, for now, we bid our weekly community page, this “Your Page,” a farewell. This is not a “goodbye,” however, but rather a “see you later.”
When we started this page on Dec. 18, 2011, we were not sure what to expect. Of course, we wanted it to be successful, giving you the opportunity to tell your stories in your words.
But I'm not sure we envisioned it being this popular.
Today is the 76th “Your Page.” That's a lot of content.
We have a number of regular contributors, from Adam Rees' fitness and nutrition tips to Rick Hollis' tales of the outdoors. We have regular running tips by an Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier, Erin Moeller, and golf tips from a local pro, Steve Charters. Jason Clark joined our lineup this past year with his triathlon tips.
Just this year, we also have had stories about coaching youth teams and a series of tales from a pair of local runners crossing the state county-by-county raising money for the American Heart Association and health awareness.
We, of course, had several stories and photos from our many high school contributors.
We thank them and all of you who have contributed.
But just because this page is taking a break doesn't mean we want you to stop telling your stories. We will continue to collect contributions from any of you who want to share your tales.
Our high school journalism program is cranking up again, so we will have plenty of excellent stories and photos to post at www.iowaprepsports.com.
Other stories will continue to run at www.thegazette.com.
And, of course, we will continue to run many of these stories in the newspaper on other days of the week.
What's your story?
