'Norm' chant addendum

Here's the correction to the instruction e-mail from the UI (which seems to be trying to make your gameday experience torturous and actionable in a court of law; remember, follow the rules):
NORM!
Fans of the Hawkeyes are encouraged to chant "Norm!" when the VISITING TEAM breaks its huddle on FIRST DOWN Saturday in support of the recovery and rehabilitation efforts of Norm Parker, the well-respected and beloved defensive coordinator for the Hawkeyes. Shout it loud!
And, fans are asked NOT to bring signs for display inside historic Kinnick Stadium. Signs are not allowed inside Kinnick Stadium because often they block the view of the game action by others in the stadium. Fans bringing signs to the stadium will be asked to leave them at the gates when entering Kinnick for the game.
Lastly, fans are invited to stop by the Krause Family Plaza any time after 9 a.m. and before kickoff to sign a "Get Well Soon, NORM!" banner/card for Norm.
_______
Sign the card, but it's no signs.
Don't get arrested!

The Norm Parker chant for Saturday's game with Wisconsin (mentioned on this blog here last night, sixth item) has now been officially sanctioned by the UI.
From UI sports info:
A movement has started to try to get everyone in the stadium this Saturday to scream and chant "Norm" on every Wisconsin third down. Bring signs and do whatever is necessary to get the entire stadium rocking.
The idea is to do this in honor of Norm Parker who as you probably know, has been hospitalized more then once and is in a serious battle with his diabetes. My understanding is he already lost his foot. If you watched the post game last week it looked like Ferentz had tears in his eyes after the game when Parker was mentioned. These two are huge friends. Norm has not been coaching.
Can you imagine how pumped up the defense will get if the entire stadium is rocking with a Norm chant. A ton of signs would also be great. Those of us watching on TV want to see the signs, hear the crowd and listen to the announcers explain what is going on.
Go to work guys and lets make this happen. Lets watch the power of viral marketing. Tell others to keep passing this message on. I posted this on facebook linking to an event request and suggest you do the same.
NORM, NORM, NORMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!
