ESPN to Televise Notre Dame vs. Michigan in Historic ‘Big House' Night Game in 2011
(FROM ESPN) -- ESPN or ESPN2 will telecast an historic event in Ann Arbor, Mich., in 2011, when Michigan hosts Notre Dame in the Wolverines' first prime-time game played at home. The game, set for Sept. 10, 2011, will be televised nationally at 7 p.m. CT.
The matchup will be the first between the Wolverines and the Irish in prime time since 1990, when both were nationally ranked among the top five and faced off in South Bend, Ind. The Irish won that contest, 28-24. Michigan has played 33 night games in school history – all on the road – and has a 22-11 record in those contests (games started after 5 p.m. local time).
_________
Of course, this could be the Big Ten opener for both teams. Just sayin'!
The Wolverines will have their first night game in Michigan Stadium history, September 2011 vs. Notre Dame. (Gazette file)
