I don't know why so don't ask, but, yes, the Hawkeyes practiced from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday night. No idea why, but it could be something as simple as schedule, trying to get the guys out a little earlier on Friday. Or, yeah, punishment for whatever. I really don't know.
From the official site, here are the photos from Friday's practice.
Photo 2: Sophomore TE Brad Herman is shown with the 1s. He's getting a long look with senior TE Tony Moeaki on the mend after leg surgery.
Photo 5: RBs Jewel Hampton and Jeff Brinson, looking healthy. Hampton had a hamstring something that slowed him earlier in spring.
Photo 8: It appears Adam Robinson is back at running back. Earlier in spring drills, he was wearing a white jersey and practicing at safety. These things sometimes go that quickly, remember Damian Sims.
Photo 17: A lil' black poodle. Kinda cute. Reminds me of my mother-in-law's, Rascal.
Photo 25: A better look at Brinson.
Photo 26: A look at redshirt freshman QB James Vandenberg.
Photo 29: QB Ricky Stanzi is still thin enough to be referred to as "Ricky."
Photo 30: I'm calling DE Adrian Clayborn whatever he wants. He's a big cat.
Photo 33: Wanna know why
Pat Angerer is a good football player? Look at his legs. You can only see just above the knee and the calf in these shorts, but you know what I mean. That's balance and stability. He played soccer at Bettendorf. I'm sure that didn't hurt.
