Lickliter's 2010 Iowa recruits weren't bums

Look at who's now recruiting former Iowa men's basketball commitments Ben Brust and Cody Larson.
According to this Chicago Sun-Times blog post, the head coaches from Minnesota, Wisconsin, California and Boston College will swing by Mundelein, Ill., to chat with Brust in the next several days.
Not that Iowa is out of the question, as this Daily Herald story says. An excerpt:
"I have Iowa stickers all over my car. I still like Iowa and I'm not knocking it off the list. I'm still very interested in Iowa," said Brust, who used to joke about how he was so into Iowa that he had gotten into the habit of wearing nothing but Iowa clothes and gear to school. "At this point I just need to spend some time getting to know Coach McCaffery. We talk every day and I like what I've heard from him. But now, I also have offers from other schools that would be good opportunities as well.
"I just have to have an open mind to what these other coaches have to say and do what's best for me."
This Chicago Tribune story says Brust received "close to 30" offers once he got the release from his letter-of-intent with Iowa.
The other Lickliter signee who has opted out of his LOI is 6-foot-9 Cody Larson of Sioux Falls, S.D.
This Indianapolis Star blog says Larson is getting the same kind of attention as Brust. A passage:
Confirmed schools interested along with Indiana include Minnesota and Ohio State in the Big Ten, as well as Arizona State and Florida. Colorado and Wake Forest are also expected to be getting involved.
Wow.
Ben Brust
