Kernels must regain timely hitting to get back in swing of things
After a hot start, the Kernels are just 23-24 after a prolonged losing streak that saw them drop 14 of their last 17 games. Kernels broadcaster Morgan Hawk says the offense has just disappeared. A combination of strong, consistent pitching and timely hits helped get Cedar Rapids off to a 20-10 start, Hawk says.
