What a night for Kaylon Williams of Cedar Rapids and Kirkwood Community College, and the Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball team.
Williams had a triple-double in the Panthers' 76-52 win over the 2010 national runner-up Bulldogs in Milwaukee Monday night. He had 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the 8-8 Panthers.
Butler fell to 10-5.
Williams is a junior from Cedar Rapids Kennedy. He began his college career at Evansville, where he led the Missouri Valley Conference in assists as a freshman. He transferred to Kirkwood, then signed with Wisconsin-Milwaukee last spring.
The 6-foot-3 guard is averaging 7.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
This was UWM's first triple-double since 1983. It ended Butler's 22-game winning streak in the Horizon League, and was the Bulldogs' worst loss in their last 198 games.
