Jewel update via Facebook

I know, it's weird and kind of creepy, but hey, Facebook is a totally "look at me" kind of a deal, so here's the latest from Iowa running back Jewel Hampton's Facebook page:

Now, how much time will he miss? Will he have to miss some or all of fall camp? That remains to be seen. It's kind of nice to see he has a sense of humor about the situation. That's probably the healthiest sign here. As you know, we aren't allowed to talk to freshman. Can't wait to interview Jewel, who's now a sophomore. He has 2,700 Facebook friends. He must be quite a personality.

Look for video later tonight from Iowa's Big Ten media day contingent -- Pat Angerer, A.J. Edds and Tony Moeaki. Of course, stories and updates will be here throughout the day.

Thanks again for coming to the new blog. I'll be able to do a lot more here than at the old place. I've asked about the RSS feeds. Hopefully, we can get that bug squashed today.
