ISU's last 5 against its new old conference foes

Iowa State is going to make more money out of this deal. Not as much money as Texas, but more than in the old Big 12.
The final numbers will come out sometime this afternoon. With new TV money coming in, though, ISU will be better off financially, thus avoiding the dark outcome that would've been the Conference USA.
Competitively? Let's take a look.
Here are the Cyclones' remaining contestants in the Big 12 and their record against those five in the last five years.
TEXAS
2007 -- Texas, 56-3
2006 -- Texas, 37-14
2003 -- Texas, 40-19
2002 -- Texas, 21-10
1999 -- Texas, 44-41
OK, this one has been decidedly Texas, with the Longhorns leading the series 7-0. If this goes down the way Texas wants it, the Horns will be on ISU's schedule every season, thus replacing the guaranteed sellout that was Nebraska. So, financially good. Competitively, ISU has its work cut out.
OKLAHOMA
2007 -- Oklahoma, 17-7
2006 -- Oklahoma, 34-9
2003 -- Oklahoma, 53-7
2002 -- Oklahoma, 49-3
1999 -- Oklahoma, 31-10
Much more history with the Sooners being a fellow Big 8 member. But that history isn't positive. In the last 20 games, ISU is 1-19 against OU, with the lone victory coming in 1990. Oklahoma has won the last 11 meetings.
Again, OU would be on the Cyclones schedule every season, probably guaranteeing a sell out when the Sooners visit Ames.
Those were the toughies. Those weren't going to be pretty. Let's see the last five against the rest of the Big 12.
TEXAS A&M
2009 -- A&M, 35-10
2008 -- A&M, 49-35
2005 -- Iowa State, 42-14
2004 -- A&M, 34-3
2001 -- A&M, 24-21
ISU is just 1-7, but this has been a more competitive series than not. A&M has hardly turned a corner under Mike Sherman. In that matchup, it's Paul Rhoads.
TEXAS TECH
2007 -- Tech, 42-17
2006 -- Tech, 42-26
2003 -- Tech, 52-31
2002 -- Iowa State, 31-17
1999 -- Tech, 28-16
The Cyclones are 1-7 here with losses in their last three meetings. As you all know, Tech went through some coaching distress with the Pirate and the Pony's boy last season, bringing Tommy Tuberville off the shelf and out of the SEC muck into the Big 12. Tuberville had great success at Auburn. Can he duplicate that in Lubbock?
OKLAHOMA STATE
2009 -- OSU, 34-8
2008 -- OSU, 59-17
2005 -- Iowa State, 37-10
2004 -- OSU, 36-7
2001 -- Iowa State, 28-14
The Cyclones are 3-3 in the last six against the Cowboys. ISU is 1-2 against coach Mike Gundy. The all-time series is 17-25-3 in favor of Okie State.
MISSOURI
2009 -- Missouri, 34-24
2008 -- Missouri, 52-20
2007 -- Missouri, 42-28
2006 -- Iowa State, 21-16
2005 -- Missouri, 27-24 (OT)
The Cyclones have won just one of the last seven games in a series that dates back to 1896. The Cyclones are 3-6 against Missouri coach Gary Pinkel, who's brought the Tigers' program back from the brink.
KANSAS STATE
2009 -- K-State, 24-23
2008 -- K-State, 38-30
2007 -- Iowa State, 31-20
2006 -- K-State, 31-10
2005 -- Iowa State, 45-17
After an 0-for-10 stretch in the 1990s and early 2000s, Iowa State has won three of the last five. Last season, the Cyclones dropped a one-point heartbreaker in Kansas City. Iowa State leads the series, 49-40-4.
KANSAS
2009 -- Kansas, 41-36
2008 -- Kansas, 35-33
2007 -- Kansas, 45-7
2006 -- Kansas, 41-10
2005 -- Kansas, 24-21 (OT)
The Cyclones have lost the last five against the Jayhawks. KU has had some coaching noise this offseason. Mark Mangino was let go after charges of player abuse came to light. Turner Gill, who took Buffalo to its first bowl in ages, begins this fall. The former Nebraska QB inherits a program that was on an upswing, but must replace quarterback Todd Reesing.
BAYLOR
2009 -- Iowa State, 24-10
2008 -- Baylor, 38-10
2005 -- Baylor, 23-13
2004 -- Iowa State, 26-25
2001 -- Iowa State, 41-0
The Cyclones lead the series, 5-4. It's competitive and probably the difference between home for December and a possible bowl game for both programs.
All total, the Cyclones are 10-37 in their last five meetings against it opponents in the reconfigured Big 12.
HERE'S WHAT ISU WILL BE MISSING
COLORADO
2009 -- Iowa State, 17-10
2008 -- Colorado, 28-24
2007 -- Iowa State, 31-28
2006 -- Colorado, 33-16
2005 -- Iowa State 30-16
Definitely trending up for the Cyclones. Alas, the Buffalos and Dan Hawkins (maybe?) are off to the Pac-10.
NEBRASKA
2009 -- Iowa State, 9-7
2008 -- Nebraska, 35-7
2007 -- Nebraska 35-17
2006 -- Nebraska, 28-14
2005 -- Nebraska, 27-20 (OT)
Three of Iowa State's 18 victories in this rivalry have come since 2002, so if you're looking for trends, that's a positive for ISU. But the overall is 18-84 in favor of the Huskers. The gate will be eased with Texas and OU traveling to Ames at least every other year. The rivalry was lopsided. Will Iowa State fans miss this going away?
Hey, either way, Iowa State will always have this
