Is ANYONE in the national media picking Wisconsin over Iowa?
Mike Hlas Oct. 22, 2010 12:24 pm
No. 13 Iowa is a 5.5-point favorite over No. 10 Wisconsin Saturday. That's not a whole lot. So you'd think someone in a national forum would predict a Badgers upset, right?
If you want to see these prognosticators' explanations for their picks, click on the links.
John Tamanaha, NBCsports.com: Iowa 24-23
Ralph Russo, Associated Press: Iowa 27-20
Mike Huguenin, Rivals.com: Iowa 27-20. Since when are field goals Iowa's new thing, by the way?
Erick Smith, USAToday.com: Iowa 26-17. Either there's a safety or Iowa kicks four field goals. Go with the safety.
Adam Rittenberg, ESPN.com: Iowa 27-25. Adam says Mike Meyer will kick a game-winning field goal as time expires.
Roy Exum, The Chattanoogan: Iowa 27-17
Matt Hayes, The Sporting News: Iowa 27-17
Brent Yarina, Big Ten Network: Iowa 24-20
I found one!
Scott Michaux, Augusta Chronicle: Wisconsin 24-21. Scott is the Chronicle's primary golf writer, which is the equivalent to being the No. 1 soccer writer at the Times of London. He came to Cedar Rapids to do a Zach Johnson feature before Johnson defended his Masters title, and wrote an excellent story.
I found another!
Pat Dooley, Gainesville Sun: Wisconsin 17-14. The Hawkeyes aren't getting much love in SEC country.
