Well. Isn't that special?

Sean Callahan of Huskers Illustrated suggests the Big 12 didn't want a 3.5-hour commercial for the Big Ten during the Insight Bowl.

So Nebraska will apparently play Washington in the Holiday Bowl. They met in September in Seattle. The Cornhuskers eked out a 56-21 victory.

The Insight Bowl and Greater Phoenix is leaving a lot of coin on the table in doing this. Crazy.

And the most-prudent thing I wrote about this bowl stuff in the last three days was this:

What I've learned about the bowl-selection process over the years is to not believe everything you read or hear until the picks are set in stone.
