Iowa-Michigan State live chat TODAY at 5:30 p.m.
Mike Hlas Jan. 20, 2010 2:29 pm
Why? Because I'm the most unaffectedly personal sports writer/blogger in the Western Hemisphere.
Why really? For the heck of it.
I'm in Cedar Rapids, not East Lansing. I'll be watching the Iowa-Michigan State game on the Big Ten Network (well, some of it, at least) from the safety of my home, not the wildnerness that is MSU's Breslin Arena. It wasn't named after the great Jimmy Breslin, which is unfortunate.
So ... is anybody game? I can give you a million good reasons not to participate (dinner hour, you're in transit, you have a life). It's up to you to come up with one why you should. I can't do everything.
I can't imagine this live blog is a good idea or that anyone will attend. I can't promise I won't be in a foul mood because of this bleak Iowa January, and one of a hundred other possible grievances that are of no consequence to anyone else.
But here's what I do promise: A fun time will be had by all. If my Internet connection doesn't fail, that is.
Now, here's the place to go for the live blog. That's 5:30 p.m. through the end of the game, or at least the second TV timeout.
I may be the Silver Fox, but sorry, no Girls Girls Girls
