Dec. 29, 2010 2:08 pm
According to Iowa's sports information department, Iowa-Illinois men's basketball tonight is headed for a possible sellout.
Here's the news release from Iowa:
Fran McCaffery and the Iowa Hawkeyes will likely experience a couple of firsts in tonight's game against 23rd-ranked Illinois - the first Big Ten contest and the first sellout of Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the 2010-11 season.
A limited number of general admission standing room-only tickets in the student section, above row 25, remain for tonight's contest, which is set to tip off at 8:06 p.m. and will be televised live on the Big Ten Network (HD). Fans interested in the available tickets should contact the UI Athletic Ticket Office at (319) 335-9327 to reserve the seats, which will be available for pick-up at the will call ticket window at the East entrance of Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for youths.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid long lines at the ticket windows.
The Hawkeyes (7-5, 0-0) have won four of their last five contests, while the Fighting Illini (10-3, 0-0) have lost two straight after winning 10 of its first 11 to start the season.
