Iowa beats South Dakota by 24

IOWA CITY - Iowa improved to 7-2 overall with an 87-63 win against South Dakota Tuesday night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Aaron White scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Hawkeyes. Devyn Marble added 14 and Mike Gesell scored 12. Gabe Olaseni scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Iowa faces Iowa State on Friday.
FIRST-HALF RECAP
Three Iowa players have scored in double digits to pace the Hawkeyes to a 45-32 halftime lead against South Dakota tonight.
Aaron White has scored 12 points, while Mike Gesell and Devyn Marble each have added 10.
The Hawkeyes (6-2) struggled with the Coyotes (4-4) for most of the first half before cruising on a 15-0 run to take a 45-29 lead with 1:22 left.
South Dakota has stayed in the game with solid perimeter shooting, knocking down six 3-pointers. Iowa, however, missed all seven 3-point attempts. Iowa did outscore South Dakota 30-6 in the paint.
