Iowa linebacker Jeremiha Hunter talks about his view of Indiana's final play Saturday. Hunter released Demarlo Belcher to a safety, but IU called for a split route with another receiver and Belcher broke free. You know the rest. Belcher never caught the pass and the Hawkeyes escaped Indiana, 18-13.
Iowa WR Marvin McNutt talks about his 52-yard TD pass from Ricky Stanzi that won the game for the Hawkeyes with 2:50 left in the game. Iowa found focus on that last drive that it lacked all day, going 88 yards on just three plays. Asked if he felt for IU's Demarlo Belcher, "I'm glad he did [drop it]."
Iowa DE Adrian Clayborn had a bleep moment here on his reaction to the Demarlo Belcher dropped pass with 28 seconds left that allowed the Hawkeyes to escape Indiana with an 18-13 victory. He was like "oh bleep." That's what you missed.
Frustrating day for Iowa QB Ricky Stanzi, but it ended well. He knew he wasn't sharp, but he also acknowledged that he pretty much fought through a sluggish performance. He also talked about Marcus Coker's performance and Adam Robinson's role. Robinson missed Saturday's game with a concussion. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said he should be good to go for practice on Tuesday. "He's a leader on this offense, believe that."
Iowa strong safety Tyler Sash gives a pretty extensive breakdown of Indiana's final play in the Hawkeyes' narrow 18-13 escape at Memorial Stadium. Iowa was in a cover 2 look and Indiana called for a split route, a route that's tough to cover in cover 2. Sash knew right away. "I saw him bobbling it. He never really had total possession of it."
Iowa's Marvin McNutt (7) points to the Iowa fans while celebrating Iowa's 18-13 victory over Indiana in their Big Ten Conference College Football game Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Ind. (Brian Ray/ SourceMedia Group News)
