I'm at the Masters; the tournament can now proceed

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Tiger Woods update:

He's playing a practice round right now.

I am in my same Augusta National media center seat as last year, with the same people to my left and right. There's Wakako Takemura of Chunichi Shimbun, Siddhartha Shriram of India's Business Standard newspaper, and Tak J. Koga of the Golf Times in Tokyo.

Wakako doesn't say much, but Mr. Shriram and Mr. Koga are extremely friendly people. Mr. Koga ("Call me T.J.," he told me this morning) has insisted I call him the next time I'm in Tokyo. When I told him I hadn't been in Tokyo in over 20 years, he was greatly disappointed.

"It's changed so much," he said.

I didn't have the heart to tell him all I saw on my previous visit was Narita Airport as I changed planes.

Now I must go on the golf course and find some, you know, material. It will be posted later this afternoon.

By the way, I think Duke was really dumb if it missed that last free throw on purpose last night.
