Hlas' AP Top 25 ballot for Week 13 - I mov

I have a new No. 1. Auburn goes up a notch, Oregon goes down one.

Ducks, it wasn't your fault. But here are some of the teams Auburn has defeated: South Carolina, Arkansas, LSU, Alabama.

In comparsion, Oregon's four best wins are over Stanford (a very, very good win, by the way), Arizona and, uh, USC and either California or Tennessee.

I'd take Oregon over Auburn in Glendale if Auburn beats South Carolina Saturday.  But winning at Mississippi State, which Auburn did, would rank as Oregon's second best win had the Ducks done it.

Oregon is still No. 1, by the way. The Ducks got 36 first-place votes, Auburn 23.

15. Boise State (10-1). It's a long drop for an overtime loss to a good Nevada team, I know.  But what almost all of what I saw from the Broncos in the second-half of that game wasn't good.

I don't know how my AP brothers have Boise 9th and Nevada 15th. Who beat who? Nevada's one loss was by one score at a good Hawaii team that is ranked 25th this week. Nevada crushed California, which lost by two points to Oregon because of a missed chip-shot field goal.

20. Northern Illinois (10-2). Last week someone on Twitter ripped me for ranking the Huskies above Iowa. Northern Illinois won at Minnesota. NIU is ranked this week for the first time. I was the first voter to rank Nevada and NIU (and Michigan State) this season. I may have had Texas in my preseason Top 10, too. That, I have no recollection about.
