Hawkeyes hit Lawrence Academy again

If Marcus Grant's Twitter is correct, Iowa is up to 11 football commitments.

Grant, a wide receiver from Lawrence Academy (Groton, Mass.), tweeted Saturday night, "Happy to say I will be with Mike Orloff for four more years at Iowa lol Let's go." Grant committed to the Hawkeyes in April.

This tweet came 8 p.m. Saturday, about an hour after Iowa recruiting coordinator Eric Johnson put out a tweet about a new addition to the Iowa family.

Orloff, 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, play quarterback and linebacker for Lawrence. Last season, he completed 61 of 93 passes for 1,032 yards, 12 TDs and three interceptions.

But, in an interview with HawkeyeReport.com this spring, Orloff said Iowa was looking at him as a linebacker.

Orloff also had an offer from Louisville with interest from a bunch of eastern schools, including Harvard, which recruited him to play QB.

If this all holds up, Orloff would be Iowa's 11th commitment for the 2011 recruiting class, which should number in the low 20s.
