Hawkeyes get commitment from junior college point guard Bryce Cartwright

Tom Kakert of Hawkeyereport.com broke the news that 6-foot point guard Bryce Cartwright of Compton, Calif., will join the Iowa men's basketball program.

The 6-foot point guard grew up in Compton, CA and played his prep basketball at Dominguez High School. He signed out of high school with Fresno State and played there his freshman year before transferring to Paris Community College in Paris, TX in his sophomore year. This past year he averaged 9 point a game to go along with 3.5 assists at Paris CC.
Cartwright will join freshmen Melsahn Basabe, Devyn Marble and Zach McCabe as scholarship newcomers to the Hawkeyes.
