Hawk Auction Item No. 54 -- Hawkeye Football Nation poster

Brett Morse is part of the Ricky Stanzi Americanzi Extravaganzi.
Actually, when Stanzi delivered his version of the Gettysburg Address after the Orange Bowl to Fox's Chris Myers, he pointed at Morse, his roommate and Iowa's fullback, just after the “Love it or Leave it” part.
Pretty sure Morse and Stanzi had a heavy influence on the senior poster, which you can see in the above picture.
“It's awesome,” Morse said about the poster. “Iowa as a program and the senior class is very patriotic. The senior class is a very patriotic group.”
It started with former Iowa linebacker Pat Angerer, he of the elaborate American flag tattoo on his right shoulder/biceps.
“We love America and we thought that'd be an excellent theme for our 2010 senior poster,” Morse said. “There's an American flag in the background. I think a lot of Hawk fans should like it.”
Stanzi and DE Christian Ballard are carrying the American flags, which serves as a backdrop for the header “It's a Hawkeye football nation” and “Love it or leave it.”
Paul Federicci, director of football operations, gave the seniors a chance to collaborate on what they wanted to do for the senior poster. The seniors threw out some ideas and the “Hawkeye Football Nation” was born.
“We ran with it,” Morse said. “It was actually really easy. The photographer and their staff did a really great job. It took less than 15 minutes.”
These were (there are two) donated to the auction by a friend who wishes to remain anonymous. Thank you so much, Kirk . . . kidding, kidding.
Bidding starts at at $10. It will end noon Monday.
This is open bidding here on this blog. I'll give each item 24 hours from the time it's posted. I'll post when that is so everyone knows when to jump in with their last-minute flurry bids.
Send the money to my PayPal account (mwmorehouse@hotmail.com). Once I get the money, I'll mail your item.
The proceeds will go to Camp Courageous, a year-round respite care and recreational facility for individuals of all ages with disabilities located southeast of Monticello.
Thanks!
