Hawk Auction Item No. 1 -- Big Ten Network political buttons
Marc Morehouse
May. 5, 2011 1:39 pm
We're cleaning out the offices here at the Gazette, making room for KCRG sports before we all make another big move to the final destination.
I went through a lot of the old stuff we had and instead of tossing it in the big, yellow recyclo-ster thought maybe some Hawkeye fans might want these.
So, here's the deal: This is open bidding here on this blog. Sign up through your Facebook account to post and put your bid up. I'll give each item 24 hours from the time it's posted. I'll post when that is so everyone knows when to jump in with their last-minute flurry bids.
Send the money to my PayPal account (mwmorehouse@hotmail.com). Once I get the money, I'll mail your item.
The proceeds will go to Camp Courageous, a year-round respite care and recreational facility for individuals of all ages with disabilities located southeast of Monticello.
I was out of town and not able to go to the Iowa football team's Camp Courageous day this year. If you need motivation, check this video from last year's visit.
Just a second, got something in my eye.
I'm going to ask the buyer to pay the PayPal fees, usually that's 2.5% of the final sale. If there are kinks, we'll work them out. If there are disputes, I'm the referee. Let's not have any disputes.
I'm going to start at posting items for 24 hours, so this one will end tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. sharp. (That's the central time zone for the six people who read this blog outside of Iowa -- kidding, kidding, I hope. Any bids time-stamped after 1:30 will not be counted.)
Your money goes to a good cause. Happy bidding and good luck!
This is a set of political buttons sent out by the Big Ten Network in 2008.
