Ferentz's take on 'Love it or leave it'

This is miles from a serious topic, but I just threw it out there for Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz.
You probably had a chance to see Ricky Stanzi's "love it or leave it" thing at the Orange Bowl? Did you get a laugh out of it?
"I thought it was kind of amusing," Ferentz said with a laugh
The question, from Fox's field reporter Chris Myers, didn't amuse Ferentz, however.
It went a little like this, "I know you're from middle America. Do you feel like sometimes you're representing something more than a conference, maybe an entire group of American citizens out there?"
OK, let that wash over you and then take in Ferentz's response.
"I think it was a fair answer to a question," Ferentz said. "I'm still trying to figure out why they have people on the sidelines. If you're talking about making cuts in budgets, that would be a good place to start."
And then, remember the Penn State halftime question. Can't remember who it was, the ABC sideline reporter asked what Ferentz thought about the long TD pass that on PSU's first offensive play. Ferentz, paraphrasing, said, "Oh crap."
That was a little more fuel for the topic (a ridiculous one, I know and apologize).
"So, what were you thinking when they threw the ball over your corner's head on the first play?" Ferentz laughed. "Geez, let me think about that."
Let me know if you want to hear Stanzi's take on this. I'm sure it'll be asked after the spring scrimmage April 17.
As I wrote, miles from a serious topic . . .
