Here's the video from Wednesday.
Here's Kirk Ferentz's opening remarks from Wednesday's news conference. SS Tyler Sash, FS Brett Greenwood, OG Kyle Haganman, DT Steve Bigach, RB Adam Robinson are out this spring. RB Jewel Hampton cleared for contact. DE Dominic Alvis and OT Nolan MacMillan slowed.
Here the topics are RB Jewel Hampton, who's coming off ACL repair and a redshirt season, but the bulk is the O-line, a hot spot for the 2010 Hawkeyes.
Here the Iowa coach talks CB Jordan Bernstine, who missed all last season with a broken ankle, managing expectations and the kicker position. "We can do better," Ferentz said about kicker.
The linebacker position is discussed here. Troy Johnson is the MLB, with Jeff Tarpinian No. 2 behind Tyler Nielsen at OLB. Ferentz said he's more worried about linebacker for 2011, when a top-heavy depth chart clears out. Also, he discusses redshirts and the workload for true freshman QB A.J. Derby.
Here it's DE Adrian Clayborn and his potential for what lies ahead his fifth-year senior season. Also, talks some depth chart (meaningless in the spring), expectations for sophomore WE Keenan Davis and senior WR Colin Sandeman.
More here on DE Adrian Clayborn and his senior year. Also, he touches on Bryan Bulaga, who left Iowa a year early for the NFL.
Here's the transcript from the TV news conference:
