Everything's amazing, and no, I'm not happy

A Youtube phenomenon (one of thousands) is comedian Louis CK's rant on Late Night with Conan O'Brien several months ago.
"Everything's amazing, nobody's happy," was the unofficial title. People gripe about Internet connections not working on cross-country flights, and more. It's a wonderful piece, and can be found here.
But while it's amazing I can get an Internet connection at the John Deere Classic media center and in my Bettendorf motel room today when such things were impossible not many years ago, I'm not happy. Why? The connections are slower than what I'm used to at my Gazette office and at home.
Who in their right mind would care? No one, of course. Forget I mentioned it.
There is a point to this post, however. I just can't remember it. Thanks to so much high-speed Internet usage over the last few years, my attention span is shorter than ... Why do people watch "According to Jim" reruns when the show is so insipid?
Insipid. Now that's one of the all-time great words.
I haven't gotten much sleep the last couple of nights.
