ESPN has officially gone nuts -- but let's talk about the most-dramatic moments in the last 40 years (or so) of Hawkeye history

We've suspected it for some time now, but confirmation came this week. ESPN needs to see a therapist.
This week, the network listed its top 10 most-dramatic moments in sports history. They are:
10. Christian Laettner's buzzer-beater in the NCAA tourney in 1992
9. Bobby Thomson's HR for the Giants against the Dodgers in 1951
8. Kirk Gibson's walk-off HR to win Game 1 of World Series in 1988
7. Franco Harris's miracle catch vs. the Raiders in 1972
6. Michael Jordan's shot over Craig Ehlo to beat the Cavs in 1989
5. Women's Soccer Goal from this weekend (2011)
4. Joe Carter's HR to win the World Series for Toronto in 1993
3. Bill Mazer0ski HR to win World Series for Pittsburgh in 1960
2. NC State beating Houston at the buzzer for the NCAA Championship in 1983
1. USA Men's hockey team in 1980 – Miracle On Ice
Joe Carter's homer closed out a World Series win for Toronto, but ... No. 4?
This all was grist for Colin Cowherd's mill on ESPN Radio Tuesday morning, and with good reason. Where is Joe Montana-to-Dwight Clark, or Ben Roethlisberger-to-Santonio Holmes, or the Rams stopping the Titans at the 1-yard line on the last play of their Super Bowl, or Kirby Puckett's walk-off homer in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series, or Bucky Dent's homer that gave the Yankees a pennant win over the Red Sox, or the Bill Buckner error, or 50 other moments?
Most of all, though, the US' victory in a Women's World Cup quarterfinal is the No. 5 most-dramatic sports moment ever? Can you hear soccer fans around the world laughing at that?
In this country alone in soccer, we had Landon Donovan's extra-time goal against Algeria that sent the Americans into the knockout round. That was last year!
All of which is a long preamble to me saying that next month I'm going to have a countdown of my picks for the 10 most-dramatic moments in University of Iowa sports history of since 1970. Few of us go back much farther than that, so why try to evaluate things we didn't see or at least experience in some way.
Some are so obvious we don't need to argue them. Tate-to-Holloway. Hartlieb-to-Cook. Houghtlin's field goal against Michigan. Iowa's amazing comeback at Michigan State in its first basketball game after Chris Street's death. I better stop there. Maybe I'll do a Top 20 or 25 instead. There's a lot to choose from.
Feel free to offer suggestions.
This is dramatic, too
