Drew Tate 1-0 as a CFL starting QB
Mike Hlas Oct. 22, 2011 8:40 am
It was Calgary 25, Saskatchewan 13.
For Calgary Stampeders quarterback Drew Tate, in his first start since his senior year at Iowa since the 2006 Alamo Bowl, it was a big game.
Tate completed 23 of 32 passes with two interceptions for 250 yards and a touchdown. The Calgary Herald gave him a game ball.
Tate replaced last year's CFL Outstanding Player of the Year, longtime Calgary starter Henry Burris. Tate has played in the CFL since 2007.
