Down for maintenance

Sorry for the lack of posts this week.

After an "El Grande" burrito last Saturday night, my gallbladder acted up. I tried to fight off what I thought was a touch of food poisoning, but finally decided to go to the St. Luke's ER on Sunday morning. Dr. Pruitt said it was probably my gall bladder. The nurse, Chris, was very helpful, quickly got some pain meds into me. Then, there was the ultrasound that found some gallstones.

So, tomorrow I get my gallbladder taken out. Bonus, I'm also having an umbilical hernia repaired. I figured that was a good idea after two doctors doubled me over in pain by simply pressing on my belly button. I didn't even know that was there.

I'll get back to blogging as soon as possible. I won't be able to lift 10 pounds for at least two weeks. Good thing there's no heavy lifting here.
