CONTEST: TCU joining the Big East is like ... what?
Mike Hlas Nov. 29, 2010 3:10 pm
In the words of Sheryl Crow, these are the days when anything goes.
Texas Christian University is joining the Big East Conference, to play football against Connecticut, Syracuse, Rutgers ...
I love it. It's like Colorado and Utah joining the Pacific-10. It's like Des Moines having a baseball team in the Pacific Coast League. It's like Utah's NBA team being called the Jazz.
Hey, how about a contest? I realize it isn't windbreaker season, but I'll put a never-worn New Orleans Saints windbreaker up as the prize for the best reply to "TCU joining the Big East is like ____________.
The Saints are getting their act together, looking ready to defend their world title. That windbreaker would make you look a first-rate frontrunner if New Orleans makes it two in a row. Who wouldn't want to be considered a first-rate frontrunner?
Use real examples, please. "Like Charlie Sheen joining a monastery" is not what we're after. Nor is he.
