CONTEST: Pick 5 NCAA games against the spread, become immortalized
Mike Hlas Mar. 16, 2011 2:03 pm
Look, anyone can pick the winner of the Notre Dame-Akron game. (Notre Dame, right?)
But let's say you were living out the adult-male fantasy of watching all the first-round NCAA tournament games in a Las Vegas casino sports book. Are you qualified to retain your cash and even make some more?
So instead of endlessly filling out brackets in your 1-in-20,000,000 quest to win ESPN.com's pool, here's something where you have a chance to show the world you are a basketball genius. Pick five of Thursday's 16 NCAA games against the Mirage MGM point spreads as of 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The tiebreaker will be the sum of how much your combined picks beat the spreads. The deadline for entering is Thursday at 11 a.m., Central time.
The person who wins will be the first inductee into the Hlog Hall of Fame. What, you were expecting a round-trip, all-expenses trip to Vegas?
So pick 5 in the comments section, and good luck to all of ya. I'll give you my five picks at the end of this post.
