19 Moser athletes win tumbling titles
STRATFORD - Nineteen members of the Moser School of Dance and Gymnastic won titles at a USTA Power Tumbling meet here recently.
Julie Woods, Jacob Gasper, Kendallyn Recker, Brandie Heims, Miranda Bell, Noa Marting, Emma Marting, Ella Marting, Makayla Gasper, Cheyenne Varner, Mikya Britton, Olivia Schindler, Avery Sweeney, Gabe Wessels, Maya Burkhart, Grace Funke, Micah Brase, McAllister Sweeney and Kennedi Bevans were winners.
Finishing second were Danielle Schweitzer, Josephine Briggs, Meliah Eiben, Kayla Felton, Rachel Clayberg, Alivia Sweeney, Gabbi Funke, Daniel Clayberg, Chloe Hartley, Emmy Troester and Erin Gaffney.
Davien Schweitzer placed third, along with Nicole Pettinger, Samantha Ahlrichs, Ellie Sweeney, Anna Hartwick, Lily Schmitz, Claire Gaffney, Hannah Bovy, Alexis Ries, Cecelia Sweeney and Karalyn Recker.
CRAG athletes shine in ‘Winter Wonderland'
CORALVILLE - The Cedar Rapids Association of Gymnastic's Xcel Silver division team captured the team title at the “Winter Wonderland” meet, led by Meghan Ulmer's four wins.
In the Xcel Silver division:
Ulmer won the bars, beam, floor exercise and all around. Faith Pladsen (vault), Maggie Barnes (bars), Hayley Voves (beam) and Mikayla Glovik also were winners. Kylee McGovern and Amyah Arrington placed.
In the Xecel Platinum division, Katie Culver won the floor exercise and Cheyanna Cooling placed, helping CRAG to a runner-up finish.
Hannah Westfall won the beam and all-around Level 7 and Lauren Freuhling and Mackie Byer were placewinners.
Jayden Lovell, Emma Patterson and Courtney Fisher earned top three finishes in Level 8 as CRAG finished second in the team race.
In Level 9, Jacey Carr won the vault and Lexy Wadsworth was a placewinner.
