31 from Moser win tumbling titles

DUNKERTON - Thirty-one tumblers from the Moser School of Dance and Gymnastic won titles recently at a USTA Power Tumbling meet here that included 13 Iowa clubs and around 350 athletes.

Moser winners were Kendallyn Recker, Josie Briggs, Nicole Pettinger, Madison Habel, Noa Marting, Kayla Kelly, Hanna Marting, Kain Luensman, Sarah VanDeWalle, Reagan Brown, Alexis Hearn, Kylie Henry, Olivia Schindler, Luke Farmer, Caleb Weber, Emma Oberbroeckling, Ericka Braden, Aivia Sweeney, Kole Pape, Anna Sweeney, Skylar Radloff, Ava Bockenstedt, Lily Schmitz, Journey Even, Katelyn Trimble, Lena Petlon, Grace Funke, Mica Brase, Tyler Buesing, Tucker Erickson and Erin Gaffney.

Jacob Gasper finished second, along with Brooke Lucas, Katelyn Mangold, Karalyn Recker, Annie Gulick, Miranda Bell, Makayla Gasper, Myra Clasen, Rachel Clayberg, Mackenzie Mohs, Natalie Ulrichs, Gabbi Funke, Noah Weber, Alexis Brown, Olivia Thier, Christina Engelmann, Kennedy Collins, Lucy Loecke, Kadence Pape, Emma Bockenstedt, Ellie Bockenstedt, Maya Burkhart, Cooper Ingles, Lelia Martin, Olivia Baldwin, Savannah Freese, Ava Steger, Alexis Ries, McAllsiter Sweeney, McKenna Hoefer, Mattie Johnson and Madelyn Bockenstedt

Cierra Weipert, Kellie Bayne, Ella Marting, Kirsten Schroeder, Anna Harwick, Becca Farmer, Kathleen Looney, Sierra Mohs, Kiley Wall, Kacie Bayne, Elli Connolly, Allie Mallicoat, Paige Kremer, Elyssa Sweeney, Gertrude Wall, Emmy Troester, Isabel Lytgen, Daniel Clayberg, Logan Bevans, Natalie Meyers, Megan Brase, Alexandra Esmann, Karsyn Nichol, Kennedi Bevans, Alaina Mead and Claire Weise placed third.

At an earlier meet in Woodhull, Ill., Jacob Gasper, Noa Marting, Kayla Felton, Miranda Bell, Anna Harwick, Tucker Erickson and Hannabelle Erickson all won gold.

Hendrickson wins 3 events

WATERLOO - Megan Hendrickson of the Cedar Rapids Twisters gymnastics club won three events at the recent Black Hawk.

Hendrickson won the bars, balance beam and all-around in Level 5.

Other Twisters winners were Aubrey Gilliland and Adria Knudson in Level 3, Peyton Sands and Elise Smith in Level 4, and Taylor Peterson, Lindsey Cranahan, Gabriella Schroud and Bree Lewis is Level 5.

Other top three finishers were Kiera Zwack, Reese Wilson and Victoria Barbieri in Level 3, Lacey Neighbor, Emily Crumbo and Carlie Mather in Level 4, and Leah Hendrickson, Riley Kalouse, Tatum Burnhardt, Sammie Triplett, Anna Penning and Emma Lewis in Level 5.

And an earlier meet in Cedar Falls, Sydney Cira-Debban, Barbieri, Chloe Carpenter, Crumbo, Smith, Megan Hendrickson and Burnhardt all won gold.

3 CRSA teams win state titles

DES MOINES - Three teams from the Cedar River Soccer Association won State Cup titles earlier this month at the James W. Crownie Soccer Park.

The U16 and U18 boys won for the second straight year and were joined this year by the U16 girls.

All three will represent Iowa at the regionals in Dayton, Ohio, next summer.
