You have to like this anyway:
"We don't believe in balls on the ground," Campbell said. "We don't want balls dropped. We want every ball caught and you have to make every play."
I want to say Iowa averaged at least two drops a game. I know there were season-high eight drops in the opener against Northern Illinois, including three each from tight end Tony Moeaki and wide receiver Andy Brodell. In the first half against Purdue, there were five drops. I had three drops against Indiana (Remember that nine-sack fest, with six more hurries? Ouch!!!).
One thing is becoming clear in the preseason talk from that national media types -- it's fashionable to say that Kirk Ferentz is under fire.
