Calling all high school journalists

High school sports always have been an important component of everything we've done at The Gazette and KCRG. That will continue into the future and, hopefully, in a bigger and better way.
But we need your help.
As community sports editor, one of my missions is to get as many high school journalists on our “staff” as possible. We want stories about your schools, your teams, your sports. And we want you to write them.
We want IowaPrepSports.com to be the place for high schools athletes, parents and fans - young and old - to get all their news, features, scores and statistics.
That's what we get out of this partnership, better high school coverage from your community for all our fans across Eastern Iowa.
What will you get?
We've got lots of items, from T-shirts to blankets with the IPS logo, but the big news is we are going to award $500 scholarships to two high school journalists to the college of their choice. We also have an iPad to give away.
I'd also like to visit your high school journalism or newspaper classes and talk about the opportunities here as well help any way possible.
Want to learn more? Give me a call or email me with your thoughts or questions - and, of course, your stories.
What's your story? It's time to share them.
